The preparation:
The preparation with Berit was a lot of fun. We started out by trying out all of the stations ourselves to see what the fourth graders would go through with us. After this we chooses our favorite activity that we did. Once we choose we started planning our teaching activities. We decided how we would teach the fourth graders and what we would do to make sure the fourth graders were able to interact with each other, us and the materials they were using. We made a poster showing the flower anatomy so that the fourth graders could look at it while dissecting the flower. This made it easier for the fourth graders to follow along and remember the parts of the flower. Then so that the students could interact with each other we made a game where they would match the name of the flower part to what it does. This got the kids to help each other and work as a team to get the right answers. After we had planned this all out it was time to teach.
