This is not my first time doing BioSITE. I did it back in fall when I worked on the chicken station. This time, I worked on the flower dissection station with Sima, Hope, and Andrew. We learned about the different parts of the flower. I didn't know much about flowers, but thankfully Andrew was able to guide us through. Our plan for the fourth graders was to tell them about how pollinators are very important to the world, especially since they are going extinct. Then the kids would go on and do the flower dissection and use the microscopes to see the flower parts up close. Finally, we finished off by quizzing them with flashcards. We gave them words and phrases that were blank. They had to fill in the blank. Overall, planning it out went smoothly.
