Cristian Llamas BioSITE #1

During the first week of BioSITE me and my group decided that we wanted to learn and teach about watersheds. We weren't sure exactly what watersheds were but it sounded interesting enough to give it a shot! Once we chose watersheds for our topic we met up in Mr. Burshe's class every Tuesday tutorial for about 3 weeks. We learned a lot from our BioSITE teacher Birit, she provided us with all the information we needed as well as backpacks that included all the materials we needed to successfully present our presentation. My group was responsible for one of the Watershed lessons so we decided to start out our lesson with learning every ones names and telling one fun fact about our self, following that we gave them all a little piece of paper to crumple then color on as well as labeling people, land, water & plants. The deepest indents from the wrinkles were colored blue which represented water which we later spayed with spray bottles and demonstrated how the water was attracting to the lowest point of the paper. This  taught the kids what watersheds are in an interactive and fun way.
