When I was teaching in BioSite, there were a variety of fourth graders. The fourth-graders were excited to interact with the chickens. When the chickens were picked up, the fourth-graders loved petting it or feeding it. When we asked to hear their chicken names, the fourth-graders liked to share their names and would laugh at the funny ones. The kids would tell us what they learned and I was a little surprised on how much they told us. It was like they recorded all of what we said. What could have gone better was our lesson plan. As the rotations went on, our group slowly abandoned the way the plan was structured to the point we were quiet some of the times and we also improvised a lot of the silence.
