Me and my group had to prep for this bio-site project for about a month, going through of the lessons that we were going to teach, talking about new and more interesting ways to teach and to keep your students engaged. Along with the lecturing given by the bio-site teacher we had to do the activities ourselves minus the chicken activities. While we were working through these activities we had the exact lab journals that the Booksin 4th graders had. In these journals we had to take note on what our teacher was saying and write down all of the required activities. In certain activities we had to draw a diagram or draw out something interesting that we experienced during the "lab". We would do this because after we were finished with all of our activities we could look back on the labs while we were teaching the kids, and show them what we did if they don't understand to help guide them. Once we were done getting walked through the activities, we were handed a packet of guidelines and a template to fill out to help us organize a lesson plan. On the worksheet there was space where we could write out our intro, starter activity, main activity, and our conclusion. This helped me and my partner, Amanda, figure out what to do next and get through the lessons fluidly without forgetting what we need to do next. Once we completed this worksheet went over the guidelines and set up our lab station inside we were all set to teach some 4th graders about our topic.
