The last service project of the year (for me) was BioSITE. My group and I chose to teach the fourth-graders about the Watershed. In order to start the lesson, we obviously had to create one. First, we looked up the definition of the watershed because we still have not fully grasp the concept that Biret had taught us and why the watershed was important to the environment. After we'd obtain the information, we did extensive research, just in case anyone wanted to ask us questions. For preparation, we made a poster of the watershed and drew the environment of the watershed. The day before the actual teaching, I rehearsed the lesson at least once, in order to determine what I needed to fix. We also wrote facts relating to the watershed,(on the back of the posters) just in case we finished the lesson early and wanted to tell fun facts about the watershed.
