Looking back on the experience of doing Biosite, I feel successful and that I've grown skills as a person that I never thought I would have. Most importantly I feel successful in that I think I taught those fourth graders to the best of my ability and that I provided them with quality education about the topic I was assigned. I also feel success in my self improvement. I not only improved on my public speaking but improved on an integral part of it that I feel I was lacking in, conveying ideas in simple language. This crucial skill was developed because educating fourth graders makes you realize how limit a vocabulary people can have and that you need to try to use the most commonly understood words in order to assure what you are teaching is being comprehended. Overall I think Biosite was an amazing experience, highly recommended, and I wish I had done the sessions last semester as well!
