Biosite Blogpost #1

In preparation for Biosite our group did a few things. We explored all the possible lessons for us to teach and all decided on teaching watersheds. After that the real hard, yet fun, work began. We had to learn most of the material pertaining to watersheds inside and out so that we would be able to convey that information in an efficient manner. We also had to create an outline of our lesson that included activities and the information we would be teaching in what order. After that the actual teaching sessions came around and with each session we learned techniques that made us better educators of our subject. Eventually we got to what I would consider to be our optimum state of teaching where we were able to flawlessly and seamlessly teach a lesson to a group of easily distracted fourth graders while keeping them active and engaged.
