Teaching

I honestly thought that the teaching would be the hardest part of the whole BioSITE project but I was wrong. It was actually the easiest. Most of the kids were always paying attention and were quiet. No one seemed to be upset or cause any major problems. Of course there were some kids who didn't listen and had side conversations but after a while they paid attention. Everything went smoothly and we always had a few minutes to spare for cleaning up. One key thing I wish we could've done better is to have a diagram of the worm body parts. I also wished we had more materials for the kids to use instead of fighting for items. We all started with our names and everyone used the ball correctly and waited their turn. Once we had informed them a bit with the facts they were all surprised and intrigued and a lot of the kids wanted to know more about worms. When we got to our activity the kids did ass they were told and drew a worm and labeled the body parts. This lesson was very fun and easy to do. I enjoyed doing this project.
