Preparation

I decided to do BioSITE for the second round because I knew it was worth a lot of points, but mainly because I really enjoyed teaching the kids the first round. Now that I had experience from the first round it made everything really easier. The learning and preparing aspect wasn't stressful at all like last time. This time I also had one of my good friends do it with me, that friend being Emelly Aguinaga. She really made the experience very enjoyable, I always found myself laughing whenever we had to do an activity together. This time around I also had a group instead of a partner. My group was Emelly Aguinaga, Tate Morillo, and Dylan Lawhead. For our lesson we chose to do Worm Anatomy because we thought it'd be simple, and also interesting for the students to learn. Plus, Tate was already growing worms in the school garden. This made would our presentation unique because we were the only group that had a "Worm Farmer". The way our lesson was going to go was that everyone had their own role. Tate was in charge of getting the worms, and mainly teaching the kids about how worms live. Me and Emelly were in charge of teaching the kids about worm anatomy. Emelly was also in charge of making the poster for the activity. Dylan was in charge of answering questions, and telling the kids fun facts. Since everyone had a role it made planning even more smoother and less stressful.
