I knew that I wanted to do something other than Garden Clean-Up and since BioSite seemed fun, I signed up for it. My friend, Christian Valencia had been part of BioSte last year and he helped me with preparing the lesson, what to bring, etc. My group (Christian, Tate, and Dylan) decided to each have a small part to teach the kids. I was Worm Anatomy (Christian helped me), Tate taught the kids about worm composting, Dylan gave fun facts, and we all helped as the kids observed the worms. To prepare for my Worm Anatomy presentation I knew the children would need to look at something in order for them to not wander and be bored. I made a poster and, if we had time, I'd have the children label the different parts of a worm. I also practiced at home so that I wouldn't be looking at the poster the entire time and would be able to interact with the kids.
