To be completely honest, I wasn't even thinking about ideas for my project when Mr. Bursch asked the class for more volunteers to teach the kids. Now take it from me first, I'm not a huge fan of kids. So naturally I was a little hesitant when my friend told me to sign up for this. However, I did it anyways because I knew that I'd never come up with an idea for my project if I didn't take this shot. I didn't think too much about it until about a week before the big day. When it settled in that I'd only have around 5 days to prepare everything for the lesson I got to it. Learning interesting facts about chickens so not to leave awkward transitional silences in between our groups individual makeshift speeches. We went over the material multiple times, I practiced a rough outline of what I would say to the kids, and what cool facts I would tell them if there was an uncomfortable silence (Note: Little did I realize at the time that, concerning 4th graders, there is NEVER silence.) After we had done some loose "rehearsals", it was time to teach these kids. We were ready as we would've ever been
