When I signed up for Bio-Site, I only did it because I wanted to do it with my friends, and because I didn't know what else to do. However, I now realize doing this was one of the best plans I've gone through with! When we first started out, we were giving the standard intro that all projects are normally given, but it turned out to be pretty fun. We disected beans, which were actually kinda hard for me. We later went through dirt and found worms and other animals/bugs, and I made a bunch of bug puns. The last one I mainly remember is when we stood in a line of which objects decompose the fastest. it surprised me that not only did oranges take about 20-25 years to decompose, but that plastic can't fully decompose. However, I felt like teaching the chickens was my favorite, and my teamates agreed. We split it up 3 ways between Ben, Kela, and I. Kela would mainly be the leader and tell the behaviors. Ben would tell what heat loss and energy within the chicken is, and I told the 4th graders why chickens are so useful for people and the garden. After doing research, I was finally ready to teach the kids!
