Preparation

Preparing for teaching 4th graders taught me so much. Each of the tutorial sessions provided basic insight to all of the station, which helped us incorporate some elements of the different station into our lesson plan. Making a lesson plan was somewhat challenging.  It was difficult to simplify the complex information to a fourth grade level without losing any of the information. Ultimately, my group found it easier to have a loose structure to our lesson that could be altered without much effort. We would still cover the same topics, but the lessons and specific activities were not set in stone at all. This gave us time and freedom to address behavioral problems, get chicken under control, and answer questions while we teaching. Preparation turned out to be the easiest part of the entire experience.
