My Second Day

My second day was somehow much better. I thought my group was great on the first day but we were still able to make improvements! We ended up teaching the same material but in a new and improved way. We originally noticed that digestion and food webs  are not a topics that most children enjoy. Because of this, we made our presentations into simulations using our children as models instead. This more hands-on approach to our lesson kept the children both interested, and more involved. Not only did this approach work better for our children, it worked better for us. The lesson as a whole was much more efficient and took a significantly less amount of time. As a result of this, my tour of the chicken coop was much more in depth than last time. In conclusion, BioSITE was a blast!
