Our team (chicken team) went through several steps to prepare for BioSITE. To start off, we wrote down ideas for what we would with the fourth graders. We had ideas for activities we would do, what we would say to them/teach them, etc. We all agreed on an activity we would do, which was to get various food items and allow the kids to feed the items to the chickens. We started off by buying crickets and keeping them in an area of the classroom until the day of BioSITE. The activity was our main focus and eventually had everything prepared. We did not have much dialogue planned, so we tried to work on that and planned some things we would say and teach.
