Planing for Biosite

In order to ensure that the fourth graders had a good experience at Biosite, we had to plan out what we were going to do. We did this by meeting in Mr. Bursh's classroom once a week to discuss how we would teach the fourth graders. After that, we split up into three groups. Each group taught the fourth graders about a different topic. My group was tasked with teaching the fourth graders how to dissect a flower. Everyone in our group helped create a plan to teach the fourth graders. First, we would introduce ourselves. Then, we would ask the fourth graders what they knew about flowers. After that, we would show them different parts of a flower and how to use a microscope. We decided to let them dissect the flower themselves, only giving them more instruction if they asked us a question. After they were done looking at the flowers, we would give them a quiz on the different parts of the flower. Overall, this was a good plan and I knew it would help the fourth graders learn.
