Our group had around 10 fourth graders. I was at a seperate table because we ran out of room at one table. First we asked them what they already know about flowers and their anatomy. We then went over the basic structure of the flower and how they reproduce. Then I explained how to properly use a microscope. Then I let them start opening their flowers and look at them under the microscopes. If they needed help I'd adjust the microscope so they could see their specimen. After they finished looking at their specimens, we'd ask them what they learn and other trivial questions. If they answered correctly, we'd give them an orange. Then they left.
